Email support@bobbistudio.com for help. Tell us your iPad model, the Bobbi version (Settings, then About) and what you expected to happen.
Send a diagnostics report
- In Bobbi, open the app menu and choose Diagnostics.
- Choose Send to support, or Share and attach the file to your email.
Reports include operation logs and the build fingerprint. They never include your artwork or project contents.
Getting a file onto your machine
- Plug a USB-C memory stick into your iPad, or an adapter for a USB-A stick.
- In Bobbi, choose Export, pick your machine's format and save to the memory stick in Files.
- Move the stick to your machine and open the design from its USB menu.
Common questions
Can I make embroidery from an idea?
Yes. Describe what you imagine to AI Create, or use a photo as your starting point. Generate artwork, turn it into editable embroidery, and refine the colors and stitches in Bobbi. Preview your design and sew a test piece before your final project.
Which iPads can run Bobbi?
Any iPad on iPadOS 17 or later. Apple Pencil makes drawing and node editing precise, but every tool also works with your finger.
Will my machine read Bobbi's files?
Bobbi opens and saves PES, DST, EXP, JEF and VP3. Saving is in beta until we finish sew-out testing on real machines, starting with the Brother SE2000. Always check the stitch preview before you sew.
Is my artwork uploaded anywhere?
No. Projects stay on your iPad. Only AI Create sends anything to our server: the description or photo you submit, so the image can be generated. Bobbi asks before the first time.
What are image credits?
AI Create uses credits. A square picture costs 1, 3 or 8 credits for low, medium or high quality; wide and tall pictures cost a little more. Failed or cancelled requests are refunded automatically.
Do I own the designs I make?
Yes. Your projects and machine files are yours to sew and sell. Please only digitize artwork you have the right to use.
When are Mac and Windows coming?
They're in development on the same engine, so your .bobbi projects will open on every platform. Leave your email below and we'll write when the beta opens.
